How to delete Watch history on Netflix?
So you share a Netflix account with your significant other, roommate, or parent. Or all three. And if any of you are too lazy to create a separate account profile, chances are you’ve noticed some strange titles popping up here and there on your Recently Watched list. Or if you’ve broken up with your significant other, your roommate moved out, or have finally left your parents house, but are still using their account password, everything you’ve been sneakily watching has made its way to their Recently Watched list and now it’s clear that, yes, you were the one watching Dance Moms. But no fear: we’re here to help you erase your streaming history and make it look like all those curious cinematic endeavors remain unseen.
First, scroll to the top of your homepage where you’ll see the “Recently Watched” tag above the left most title. Now if you want to get rid of that embarrassing title you just streamed or if you want to get rid of any evidence you were even on this account, simply click, “Recently Watched.”
Then once you’re on the Recently Watched, just click the X on the right hand side next to the title you want to pretend you didn’t see and voilà! Mean Girls 2 is gone and we can all get on with our lives. Netflix says any title you delete can take up to 24 hours to clear on all devices, but from my experience it disappears almost immediately.
Of course, you’re able to create a separate account profile, and you should totally do it. It’ll make your life infinitely better and you’ll have your own List. Your own List! Isn’t that a glorious thought? Don’t worry: we’ll teach you how to do that, too, you independent streamer, you.
Now, if you’re able to create your own profile, do so by hovering over the current account profile on the top right of the screen.
After you select “Manage Profiles, ” click “Add Profile” and get groovy with it. Then you don’t have to worry about sharing your streaming choices with anyone else (and possibly suffering some harsh judgment).
Yay! You’re a Netflix ninja!
